Idaho Health Report Card

The Idaho Health Report Card is a set of 10 health measures intended to be used as a means for assessing the health of Idahoans. These measures were selected based on goals set to improve the health of Idahoans by the governor's office.

The ten indicators used were: health disease deaths, cancer deaths, unintentional injury deaths, suicide deaths, drug overdose deaths, obesity prevalence, diabetes prevalence, infant deaths, preterm births, and childhood immunization. Below is more information relating to the indicators. These are a subset of drug-induced deaths and exclude illness, disorders, and diseases resulting from long-term or chronic drug use. The grade is determined by Idaho's ranking among the other states and D.C. If the target has NOT been met, the grade is lowered by one whole grade.
